Here we are at the end of the first month of 2021 and I don’t know about you, but I went into it praying that God’s hands would be ALL OVER the events of this month. And you know what? They were. His extravagant love was evident in every breath and every step we took.
He was with us at the beginning, the middle, and the end and He was busy doing a New Thing in all of us.
Thank you LORD!
February’s Focus – Extravagant Love
“Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.” ~Ephesians 5:1-2 MSG
As my fingers moved across the keyboard to type out this verse I was overwhelmed by God’s love.
God didn’t love me to get something from me. He doesn’t need anything from me at all.
No, He gave of Himself because He loves me extravagantly.
I don’t deserve it. I’ve certainly not earned it, but He truly does love me.
And you know what, He loves you just as extravagantly! Isn’t that awesome to know? I hope it is.
For the month of February, Breakthrough Faith and Wellness will be focusing on His extravagant love.
